Priming is optional as the paper has been prepared for painting with the addition of sizing and oil barrier, this preparation prevents greasy rings from forming and fibres are protected from oxidisation when in contact with paint.

It was recommended to me by someone and having used Arches I found it was a good cheaper alternative. It worked well with granulating paints.

I bought this brush some time ago based on a recommendation from someone— can't remember who though. I then forgot about it until I received a request to write a review from The Southbank Art Company. I've now tried it, and I've found it to be a lovely brush to use. It lays down the paint beautifully. It also holds a lot of paint enabling continued use without having to return to the palette so often. The point of the brush is good too, giving a lovely narrow lines where necessary.
I'll continue to use this brush, and will probably look at buying other sizes too.
