About the Artist

Shakila Sulemanji is a celebrated London-based artist whose creative portfolio spans five decades bringing together rich cultural heritage with contemporary London life.

Her distinctive artwork – from signature block prints to enchanting London scenes – captures the beautiful intersection of tradition and modernity that defines her unique artistic voice. Shakila's exceptional talent has earned recognition from prestigious retailers like John Lewis, who featured her exquisite Indian block-printed designs in homes across the UK. As co-founder of The Hatched Line studio alongside her daughter, she continues to create artwork that tells meaningful stories while bringing warmth and character to any space.

How it's made

Every print is made to order in our London studio. We produce giclée prints on archival paper using pigment inks, for accurate colour that lasts. If you add a frame, we cut the mount and build the frame by hand, glaze it with acrylic, and finish it backed and ready to hang. Every piece is checked before it leaves us.

Care & display

Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colours. Dust framed pieces gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store unframed prints flat in their protective sleeve, and handle them from the edges — or support from underneath — when moving them.
