Aqua Bronzes are finely milled metallic pigments designed to add luminous metal effects to artwork. When mixed with water, these powders create a smooth, shimmering paint that can be applied over gouache, watercolour, and other lightly absorbent surfaces such as paper, card, illustration board, or canvas.
By adjusting the amount of water, artists can control both the coverage and the intensity of the metallic sheen, allowing for anything from subtle highlights to bold reflective accents. Once dry, the finish is smear-resistant, not waterproof while maintaining its bright metallic character.
